Bishop Roy Dixon, D.D.,

Senior Pastor, Jurisdictional Prelate

Roy Dixon accepted the Lord as his personal Savior at the age of 12 and received the baptism of the Holy Ghost in Toomsboro, Georgia. As a young man, he was very active in the church and received many accolades in church and school for public speaking and demonstrating acting talents.

In 1973, Brother Dixon answered God's call to the ministry and was ordained by the late Bishop S. M. Crouch. At the same time, Bishop Crouch assigned him to Pastor Val Verde's Church in the Saugus-Newhall area near Magic Mountain.

In 1985, Elder Dixon was led to establish Faith Chapel Church Of God In Christ.

In December 2013, Bishop Dixon was called to Pastor Greater Woodlawn Park Church Of God In Christ, located in Chula Vista, CA.  

Bishop Dixon has been married for over 50 years to First Lady Starrie Dixon. They are the parents of three adult children, Royce, Rhonda, and Dominic, as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
